Spring Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences
It's time for Spring Conferences. Conferences are a time to share progress, accentuate strengths, collaborate, identify areas of focus, and set goals. Please bring your child with you!
One of your child's Core teachers sent you a message earlier this week with conference information. Please sign up with the teacher who sent you the message.
We hope you will visit PE, Health, ELL, Resource, Art, Drama, Band, Choir, Media Lab, or Spanish teachers before or after your scheduled Core conference. Those teachers will be available according to the schedule below on a drop-in basis.
Wednesday, March 14th 6:40 pm – 8:10 pm
Thursday, March 15th 8:00 am – 10:00 am
11:30 am – 3:30 pm
5:00 pm – 8:00 pmThis link will take you to the online scheduler at PTCFast. As with all outside digital platforms, you may want to just use first name and last initial for signing up your student. (If you requested an interpreter on your child’s school forms, your conference has already been scheduled. You should have received confirmation from a district translator.)
Again, please sign up ONLY with the teacher who sent the message this week. If you sign up for a conference with more than one Core teacher, the duplicate conference(s) will get dropped from the system. Evenings tend to be in highest demand. If you are able to come in the morning or afternoon, we appreciate you choosing one of those slots.
If you are unable to make any of the scheduled conference times or did not receive a message, please contact one of your child's Core teachers.
Safety - Arbor Heights Recommended Walking Path
While the new walking bridge and widened shoulder on Laidlaw east of Stoller has significantly improved safety for students walking to the Arbor Heights neighborhood, we still recommend students walk to school via Greenwood Avenue. There is much less danger from passing cars. A map is attached. We are aware there is home construction on 137th, but the back half of Greenwood is open to foot traffic.
Let's Walk to School!
Spring is just around the corner! It is a great time to establish new habits. We encourage all students to travel to school via the walking paths or by bus. We would like to reduce our school's ecological transportation footprint. Is it a good time for a new habit of staying healthier by walking to school? Habits formed for students now can stay with them until adulthood. Let's teach them healthy habits for life.

MathCounts - Math Video Challenge
