Parent Connection: Relationship Skills

A person’s skill at promoting and maintaining positive connections with others is critical, especially at this time in your child's development. Relationships are the most important aspect of our lives and influence everything we do day-to-day. Learning the skills necessary to have healthy relationships is important not only for the individual, but also for the classroom, school, and community.

Please join us as Mrs. Gow leads us in a discussion about working with children on relationship skills. If you are able to attend, we would appreciate an RSVP to help us prepare.

Student-Led Conferences

When students are able to articulate what they have learned, their strengths, and their next steps they become more engaged in their learning. Blanton students confer with their teacher and their peers about what they are learning each day. We are excited about the opportunity for them to share these things with you during their Student-Led Conference. Another benefit of this time with your child at school will be that you will be more aware of questions to ask your child throughout the year about their learning and goals.

Thank you for your time and enthusiasm during this process. We look forward to having you all on campus.

PTA Grants to Blanton Staff

Thank you, PTA, for presenting 23 grants to staff members that will be utilized for student learning. Some of our staff were awarded scholarships to conferences specific to what they teach. Others are items that will be used by all students in the building or in specific grade levels. We are eager to see our staff and students working with these materials in the future and appreciate your partnership.
