Social Studies
This week students will be travelling to JA Biztown to run their businesses for the day. We really appreciate your help at home in getting permission slips turned in so all kids can participate in this great activity! On their trip day, we ask that students come “dressed for success” - jeans/khaki shorts and a nice shirt/blouse are what we expect, but anything dressier is also great!
On the days when kids are not on the trip, they will be working on a project to show all that they have learned this year in Social Studies. Students will be working in groups or on their own to research and share information on the history, economics, government, and geography of a product of their choice. These projects will be shared with their class on Tuesday, 5/15. We will then spend a day to review Australia and JA materials before the tests later in the week and the following week (tests will follow a finals schedule, as they did first semester - please see the Autrey Mill Webpage for the schedule).
Thank you for a great year!! Have a wonderful summer!!
