PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Happy Friday!
Last Friday, the Solar Star Lodge #14 raffled off 22 bikes during a school wide assembly. In order for the kids to qualify for a bike they had to read, read, and read some more. We thank them for their Bikes for Books program.
Thank you to the Bath Elementary PTA for celebrating the FMS staff this week. It is not easy with everyone’s busy lives to make room for more, but the PTA finds a way! The various treats and acknowledgements this week mean a lot to the staff.
Thank you to all the parents. I know there are a lot of moving parts with parenting school age children. From making sure they have everything before they leave the house to watching your clock as time ticks by in the drop off/pick up line, or a mountain of other things you have to contend with, I know it is not easy and can frequently be stressful.
Nurse Ricki, rwaltz@rsu1.org, wanted the 5th grade families to be on the lookout for the health letter and physical form for the FMS to BMS transition. It will be important to call your student’s health care provider now to discuss an appointment or getting the physical form filled out, as
waiting may limit a student's ability to play fall sports.
SASSMM will visit FMS next week during guidance class. SASSMM provides age-appropriate lessons that focus on personal body safety. Students often look forward to their annual visit from SASSMM staff. For more information, please contact Ms. DeRosa, sderosa@rsu1.org. Also feel free to explore their website at www.sassmm.org.
