Principal Newsletter
From the Desk of Mrs. Riley
March 7, 2019
Dear Parents,
Lent is a time for "spring cleaning" our lives while giving thanks to God and strengthening our relationship with Him. As we begin our Lenten journey, let us reflect on the words of Pope Francis:
- Fast from hurting words, and say kind words.
- Fast from sadness, and be filled with gratitude.
- Fast from anger, and be filled with patience.
- Fast from pessimism, and be filled with hope.
- Fast from worries, and have trust in God.
- Fast from complaints, and contemplate simplicity.
- Fast from pressures, and be prayerful.
- Fast from bitterness, and fill your hearts with joy.
- Fast from selfishness, and be compassionate to others.
- Fast from grudges, and be reconciled.
- Fast from words, and be silent so you can listen.
May this Lenten Season be a blessing to you and your family.
Thank you for your constant support and prayers for our school. I encourage you to continue to support our work as we advance our mission to provide a transformative education steeped in academics and faith to our deserving students. There is no greater investment for forming our future saints than a Catholic education!
Please carefully review this week's newsletter for many reminders and updates. We thank you for entrusting your children to us and for the sacrifices you make each day to send your child(ren) to Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic School.
God’s Peace,
Mrs. Barbara Riley

BLOCS - Applications
We highly encourage everyone to apply for BLOCS tuition grants via Facts (Application found HERE). In order to be considered for this grant you must apply and be approved.
Facts is the third party administrator that processes and reviews your financial information in order to determine eligibility. This is a strict confidential process and we only receive a confirmation of whether or not a family is approved. Participation in the SPE Program is available to everyone. If you or anyone you know is interested in participating in the SPE Program, please review the information HERE or contact the School Office.
2019 Spring Fling Auction Night

- Ticket Sales - Early bird ticket sales are officially closed. Just a few full-price tickets ($50 per ticket) still remain and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Ticket Order Form
- Auction Items - Donation basket nights took place this week, and baskets are currently being organized and tagged. Thank you for your support!
