The Great Depression was a world wide economic downfall. In most places it began in 1930 and continued until the early 1940s. It was the worst economic depression of the 20th century
John Steinbeck
John Steinbeck lived from 1902 to1968. He was an American writer who wrote 27 books including of mice and men, the grapes of wrath ,and East of Eden. In 1962 he won the Nobel prize of literature.
Of mice and men
The novella was written by John Steinbeck and it was published in 1937. it tells the story of George Milton and Lennie Small, two displaced migrate ranch workers, who move from place to place in search of new job opportunities during the Great depression in California.
