Tokoroa Intermediate School 1 June 2023

Principal's Pen

What a wonderful afternoon we had with our grandparents on Tuesday. A great turnout and of course, our children were amazing in their performances.

Thank you to those who completed the Whanau Action Plan and returned to school. It is not too late to have your say.

It is always good to hear your voice; your contributions help us design how and what we deliver in learning for our students. Your voice is very important to us.

Don't forget King's Birthday, so enjoy this long weekend and stay safe.

Big picture

NZ School of Music Piano Competition

Tanya Pal and Abigail Olls represented Tokoroa at the yearly NZ Modern School of Music competition in Taupo. Both girls excelled in this piano competition, where students came from as far away as Hawkes By and Taumarunui. Abigail won four silvers and a bronze medal. Tanya won two bronze medals and got a Highly Recommended for her piano pieces. It is good to see our Tokoroa Intermediate students doing so well in this area.

School Gardens - Tools & Plastic Bottles Needed

We are looking for gardening hand tools, pitch forks, spades. If you no longer need them we would really appreciate them.

We are also on the hunt for 1.5 litre clear plastic soft drink bottles. We need hundreds to build a 'glass' house for our seedlings. Please send them to school with your child.

Pine Cones For Sale

Our students have been busy collecting pine cones and bagging them up for sale. A bag is $10 each. Please contact our school office if you would like to purchase some and arrange pickup and payment.
