CHS Library Transition

Transitioning to a Learning Lab/Collaboration Space

Technology Deployment

As Century High School sees technological changes throughout the school, the library must work for the needs of our CHS student body in regard to the shared learning space of the CHS Library. Mobile technology and changing classroom dynamics will benefit the CHS library as we transition from the traditional school library model to a learning lab/ collaborative space model. See below for proposed changes to the CHS Library area.

Periodical Room/Mrs. Phillips' Office Area Changes

Consolidate periodicals to make room in back office. This area could be used as a "maker space" where materials and student projects can be stored. This would also make a good area for student technology workers to "set up shop'.

Library Main Changes

  • 25 PC Laptop computers similar to current arrangement.
  • Chromebook Self-Checkout Area
  • Update furniture (couches move to quiet room)
  • Mobile Monitors for collaborative computer work
