LEES Families,

Today, students from BHS came to LEES to paint our large USA maps that are located on the blacktop. They are beautiful! We appreciate them helping to add more color to our playground!

On Thursday, October 28, students and staff are invited to dress up as their favorite book character. Students are encouraged to bring the book showing the character they are dressed up as to share with their class.

Just a reminder that there is No School for students on Friday, October 29. This is a Teacher Workday so teachers can work on report cards for the first 9-week period. Also, there is No School for students on Monday, November 1, and Tuesday, November 2. Monday is Parent Teacher Conference Day from 12:00-7:00 PM. Teachers sent home a sign-up sheet for parents to indicate if they would like a conference with their child’s teacher.

The books have arrived for our Fall Literacy Event! We will be sending home a book, snack, and some activities for families to complete next week. Families who choose to participate will be entered to win a Walmart gift card!

Mr. Custer, our head custodian, will be retiring after 48 years with RCPS. He has been at LEES for 47 of those years! Mr. Custer’s last day will be October 28. We will miss him and are grateful for his years of service to the LEES community.

Enjoy the beautiful fall weather.

Mrs. Ridder
