Whale Watching!
We are set for our whale-watching trip on Tuesday, January 29, as part of our study of the Open Ocean and the animals that live there. Below you’ll find information about times, dress and what to bring.
Please investigate methods to make sure your child does not get seasick. There are over the counter medications or patches that your pediatrician can prescribe to help head-off motion sickness. The primary concern is that your child is comfortable because every year we have lots of seasick kids!!!
- Wear sunscreen.
- Wear layered clothes and bring a jacket - it may be cold on the boat.
- Bring a sack lunch.
- The students may bring a camera, but no other electronics will be allowed.
Up Coming MAP Testing
We discussed in class the fall scores and set goals for the winter. Please ask your child about their goal. Also please try to have your child at school on the day the class is taking the test. Children tend to perform better when they test with the group rather than individually.
