Greetings Warrior Families and Friends,
What a week! The school spirit has been amazing and we are extremely proud of our entire student body and staff for making this week such a fun experience for all involved. It’s not over yet though! Make sure you get to MHS tonight to cheer on the Warriors and watch the greatest halftime show around.
Please make sure you mark your calendars for next week Thursday, October 3rd, for Parent Teacher Conferences. Conferences are held in open house format so you are able to stop in anytime between 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. Additionally, fall conferences will be set up in the Salentine Gym and MHS Cafeteria. We look forward to seeing you at this event and continuing to build upon the strong partnership we have.

Early College Credit Program
Early College Credit Program (ECCP) allows a student in grades 9-12 to apply to enroll in a UW System institution or a participating private/nonprofit institution of higher education (IHE), to take one or more courses up to 18 credits, for which the student may earn high school credit and post-secondary credit. Students must meet certain criteria. The website with FAQs and more information can be viewed here. For more information on the ECCP at it relates to the UW System, please click here. The deadline for submitting completed ECCP applications for Spring 2019 is October 1, 2019.
Dual Enrollment Options
Start College Now
Start College Now allows a student in grades 11-12 to apply to enroll in a Wisconsin Technical College, to take one or more courses up to 18 credits, for which the student may earn high school credit and post-secondary credit. Students must meet certain criteria. For more information on Start College Now, please click here. For information about Start College Now and Waukesha County Technical College please click here. The deadline for submitting completed Start College Now applications for Spring 2019 is October 1, 2019. Students cannot be enrolled in both ECCP and Start College Now at the same time.
Parenting the Love & Logic Way
Please join us for our Parenting the Love and Logic way six-session class! Parents who want to raise self-confident, motivated children who are ready for the real world are encouraged to sign up. There is no age limit for who can benefit as these techniques can be for students K-12th grade. Classes will be held at the Education Services Center every Tuesday, not including Thanksgiving, for six weeks starting on October 22nd. Lite dinner will be served every night and the cost is $25/person. If you are interested, please sign up HERE or email Deanna Welsh(deanna.welsh@muskegonorway.org) with any questions. Scholarships are available upon request.

Community Vaping Forum
Know the signs, dangers, and health risks
As the questions and misconceptions surrounding vaping and its side effects intensify, Rogers Behavioral Health invites you to an informative community vaping forum on October 15. This event will feature presentations from the Brown Deer Police Department, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin's Dr. Louella Amos, and medical staff from Rogers' mental health and addiction treatment program, led by Dr. Amy Kuechler. After the presentations, the experts will answer your questions during an audience Q&A. The presenters will cover:
- The dangers of vaping
- The impact of vaping on mental health and future drug use
- How vaping is impacting the local community
- Ways teens try to hide vaping
- Treatment for mental health and addiction
