· Carry with two hands at all times
· Hold the iPad by the base not the cover
· Keep in backpack while on the bus
· Water bottles, lunch bags and wet winter clothing should not be put in the backpack with iPad
Home Responsibilities:
· Bring to school each day, fully charged
· Charger should stay at home
· Apps provided by the school are the only apps that should be used
· Remember that your iPad should be used for educational purposes

· Monitor your child’s internet use
Caring for iPad:
· Students must use the district-issued case at all times (personal cases are not allowed) and the iPad must remain in the case at all times
· Do not deface the iPad case / iPad (ex. do not add stickers, markings, etc.)
· With this version of iPad, screen protectors are not needed
· Each iPad case includes a student identification tag. To help us easily return misplaced iPads, leave this tag in the case at all times
· Use only a soft, lint-free cloth. Abrasive cloths, towels, paper towels, and similar items may cause damage to the item
· When cleaning, disconnect your iPad from any external power sources and disconnect headphones, microphones, etc.
· Do not spray cleaners directly on to the item
· Don’t get moisture into any openings, and don’t use aerosol sprays, solvents, or abrasives
· Keep liquids away from the iPad
Failure to follow these recommendations could result in the child’s family having to pay a replacement cost for a damaged or defaced iPad.
