January Newsletter

Mrs. Patrick's Class

Welcome Back!

I hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable break. We have a busy, yet fun month ahead. As the winter months approach, please understand that we often have winter weather and some dates will need to be moved. Remind is the fastest way any changes will be communicated.

I do want to reiterate that this semester the test will not be read aloud. Unlike the first semester, students will be required to read the tests silently and independently. I will be able to help them with a word here and there, but not read entire question and answer choices to them.

Celebrating our successes

I am so very proud of all the progress each and every student has made in reading in just one semester. I can't wait to see what the rest of the school year has in store for us all. Please continue to make sure your child reads 20 minutes each and every night, review their study guides and complete the homework packets each week.

Students have also done a fabulous job on Google Classroom as well as Plicker. Thank you for your support at home. We are well on track to meeting and exceeding our technology goals this year.
