Scholastic Book Fair is COMING SOON!
Our school will celebrate the power of reading at the upcoming Scholastic Book Fair. You are invited to help our school create a culture of reading, build our school libraries, and you will have the opportunity to shop and select books with your child for your home library! A portion of all the proceeds will go back to our school – your support makes a difference!
The more your children read with you at home, the better their comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency. Check out this reading research and find more information on how you can support your child’s reading life at home:

INFECTION PREVENTION:
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol based hand sanitizer.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Stay home when you are sick.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces, ie cell phones...
We encourage parents to send a spare set of clothing (pants/shorts/skirts/underwear/socks) for children in Kindergarten, first and second grades. The students do get bathroom breaks but accidents still happen. We have a limited supply of extra clothes in the clinic so we would like to avoid interrupting a parent's day to come bring clothes to the school if an accident happens. If your child wears clinic clothes home, please return those clothes the next day so they are available to someone else. Thank you.

2020 Pesticide Notification Registry
The Indiana Pesticide Review Board has regulations that impact how school corporations may use pesticides on school grounds. MSD Warren Township follows these guidelines and we are inviting parents and guardians to join our Pesticide Notification Registry. By signing up for this registry, you will be notified via email at least 48 hours prior to a pesticide application at your child’s school, subject to certain exceptions. You will be invited to sign up for this notification each school year.
You will need to sign up for this notification every school year.
If you would like to participate, please complete the required form found at www.warren.k12.in.us.Lunch Menu
Warren Township Schools, in partnership with Chartwells K12, publish breakfast and lunch menus through Nutrislice - an interactive website and a free smartphone app. Our school community can access our menus anywhere, anytime! Click here for the menus or download the menu Nutrislice app.

Additional Updates and Information
Delays/Closings - As we know, Indiana winter weather can sneak up fast. With the cold temperatures and wind chills, it is important watch for any potential school start information. There are several places to get up to date information on school delays and closings including all local TV/news stations and their websites/apps, Warren Township's new website/app, and the Warren or Liberty Park Facebook/Twitter social media accounts. Please remember to look for MSD Warren Township or Warren Township Schools NOT Warren County.
Winter Recess Policy - School Board and School policy encourage outdoor recess for our K-4 students whenever possible to encourage activity and social playtime. Our threshold for cold weather is 20 degrees. When the temperature falls below 20, students will have recess indoors. The 20 degree temperature would also include wind chill. In other words, if the temperature is 25 but the windchill falls below 20 degrees, students would remain indoors for recess. If students are not feeling well or a parent wants them to stay in for health reasons beyond 1-2 days, a doctor's note is required.
AM Drop Off: Students should not be dropped off in the front of school until the 7:55am bell. In efforts to keep all students safe, kids should remain in vehicles until the bell.
- Birthday Treat Policy: All MSD Warren Schools have aligned their birthday celebration policies to the district’s wellness policy. As part of our efforts towards health and wellness, we follow a “no birthday treats” guideline.
- Student Absences: If your child is ill and will not be at school, please call the front office at 532-1850 or use your School Dismissal Manager App to report his/her absence. Please call and report if your child will be arriving late to school due to a doctor’s appointment. Doing so helps us to know that your child is safe and with you.
