Weekly Update
Week 7
WSSD Elementary Library
Hello WSSD Families,
When the weather is inclement, it’s a perfect time to nurture hobbies through fun indoor activities, such as baking delicious treats, helping to prepare a scrumptious meal, or other favorite craft hobbies. Cookbooks are very popular in the WSSD elementary libraries, students share their favorite recipes, and sometimes even a treat. Books about cooking are just as important as other non-fiction titles, especially for developing math and science skills, necessary for making successful meals. Some of the most popular TV shows are competitions, or how to- do-it cooking shows. Many of this week’s activities will be crafted around food and creating, always giving students the flexibility to choose their own literature and cooking experiences. Our resources and activities are selected to attract a wide range of ages and reading levels, so pick your favorites to share with your family.
Librarians’ TumbleBooks recommendations for our favorite author, and title will appear weekly too.
If you have any questions about the page, or resources please contact one of us. Our office hours are from 8AM-10PM. If you need to contact us at another time please email us, and we’ll set up an alternative time that works for you. Our email information is at the bottom of the newsletter.
