Family-School Relationships Survey - THANK YOU!!
So many Gables families took the time to share their experiences that we reached our goal for survey participation. This is incredibly important and outstanding support - thank you to all who have taken the time to do this!!

It's School Choice season, and the window to apply to the Elementary School Lottery opens Feb 1. Gables' School Choice video is now available on our main

Elementary School Fair will be online Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Zoom links are here.

January's Word of the Month: Citizenship
Good citizens help keep their school and community clean and are nice to their neighbors.
Help connect social emotional learning (SEL) at home with school by encouraging your Gator to display Citizenship and maybe win Student of the Month in their class!
Remote Learning
In the event Gables needs to transition to remote learning, sometimes a last-minute decision will be made. These will be handled similarly to a snow day: Families will receive an email, robocall and it will be broadcast on the news/CCS website. Thank you for your flexibility during this time as we all work to weather this new wave of COVID-19. If you have technical difficulties logging in remotely, please contact your child's teacher.
Student Guide to Success booklets
Thank you for returning the Student Guide to Success booklets! If you haven't yet completed your child's, please do so. Remember to print your child's name clearly in the spaces provided. It's helpful if you also write their name on the front cover as well.
Each child should be doing at least 30 minutes Reading and 30 minutes Math each week (older grades have a 45 minute minimum). You can access iReady through Clever.com.
Each week, the student with the most minutes in each class is entered into a drawing for a free book token to our book vending machine!
CCS and Gables Events Next Week
Each CCS student along with one parent/caregiver gets free weekend General Admission to the Columbus Museum of Art in February (Saturdays and Sundays 10am - 5pm). If you want to visit during the first weekend in February (the end of the Van Gogh exhibit), call 614.221.6801 to reserve your Pathways Express ticket. Be prepared to pay a fee to add the Van Gogh exhibit (no free admission to this) if you want to see that, but you are not required to attend (and thus pay for) that exhibit if you do not wish to.
CCS Community Partners will be on site February 12 with games and prizes. See the Pathways Express site for more info.
January CCS Pathways Express: COSI
Free admission to COSI every weekend in January for CCS families.
Reservations are currently booked, but you may be able to attend if you take the green ticket your child received directly to COSI. Free admission is not guaranteed but possible. Learn more about
