Morning Help
Please note that not each teacher will be available each morning, but there will be someone that is able to help every morning.
We cannot help if we do not know that help is needed! Please use this time to get your questions answered!
School Hours
Students are allowed upstairs at 7:40 to visit their lockers. Classes begin at 7:50. Students who arrive after 7:50 will need to visit the office to be recorded as tardy.
7th hour will dismiss at 2:50. Buses leave school grounds at 3:00.
Grab 'N Go Breakfast
PLEASE be checking your student's lunch/breakfast account balances frequently!
Technology
Skyward and Schoology both have apps that you can download for your phone! These are awesome tools. You can even set up Skyward to automatically email you when grades are updated/every Friday at 10 AM.

Contacting Teachers

Team 7 Blue Agendas
Language Arts
Monday: No School
Tuesday: The Rules Project, due Wednesday
Wednesday: Long Way Down/Huck Finn Compare/Contrast Writing, Theme Exit Ticket
Thursday: Socratic Circle Preparation, Weekly Reading Assignment Due
Friday: Socratic Circle *this is an assessment grade*
Important Dates/Info
Assignments related to Huck Finn will no longer be accepted.
In Unit 3, we will be learning about how to make decisions for ourselves and how authors develop theme/central ideas. For this unit we will be reading a selection of short texts (articles, short stories), a graphic novel adaptation of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and excerpts from Jason Reynolds' novel Long Way Down. Students who wish to read the entire novel will need parent permission (see below for opt-OUT letter).
This quarter, students will also be required to complete some reading activity each week. I will assign the task on Fridays and these assignments will be due the following Thursday. There are many reasons for this change, but the biggest one is that students are not reading and it is showing in all of their classes.
