Triton Middle School Updates
September 23, 2016
STAR Assessments
The middle school students have recently completed or will soon be completing the first round of STAR Assessments in Reading and Math. STAR Assessments are run through a comprehensive program provided by Renaissance Learning. STAR Assessments are computer adaptive tests (CAT's) that provide data that teachers use to develop a plan for instruction based upon your child's strengths and areas of needed improvement. The link below has more information on Renaissance Learning and the STAR Assessments. Please feel free to reach out to the middle school office or your child's teachers if you want more information on the STAR Assessments.

- We will include students who are left out.
- If we know that somebody is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school and an adult at home.

Fundraising Update
This year we are selling food items from Cherrydale/Chip Shoppe. The money we raise is going toward student rewards for Cobras with Character and our Middle School Homeroom Incentives. The official start date of the fundraiser was Friday, September 16 and we will be finishing on Tuesday, September 27.
Please keep all order forms and money received in the envelope provided and have your child return the orders to their homeroom teacher on or before September 27. Please remember that checks should be made payable to Triton Middle School and that your child's name is on the order form and envelope. Pick up will take place on October 14 after school by the activities entrance. Thank you for your help and assistance with this important fundraising effort!
