Pirate Praise: Pirate Praise coming at ya for 2020! Praise week is scheduled the 1st few days of February! This practice was born out of the want to take a hot minute to recognize and celebrate all the radness happening on campus! The Pirate staff are pretty incredible, as you know, and what better way to throw some cheer than to take a peak and recognize all the good! Woot! More info to come at PD! Here is the doc (for future use). The process will be the same as in the past: pick one prep to join 3 colleagues and check out all things awesome - and add a public celebration for that strategy.
2020 Book Talk: Book talk date is Feb 13. Get your read on! Can't stop won't stop!

Enrichment: The first day of enrichment is Jan 13.

- Calendar & Attendance: We care about your child's education and experiences which means we also care about their attendance. This is a friendly reminder to re-familiarize yourself with the NP3 calendar and attendance policies. Click here to familiarize yourself with our 19-20 calendar. Please plan your vacations and trips accordingly. Your student's attendance is very important. You can click here to review our attendance policy in the family handbook.
- 8th Grade HS Academic Night: Save the date! On Tue Feb 11 at 6pm NP3 HS will share information about your student's transition to high school. All grade levels are welcome to attend. Click here for more information.
- 8th Grade Promotion Info: Please view our updated 8th grade letter here and let your Advisory teacher know if you have any questions. The letter has information regarding 8th promotion for May 2020.
- ATS Summer Program Update: Important update for students who signed up for ATS qualifying test at NP3 Middle on Feb 7 - testing has been cancelled. Don't worry - ATS classes are still happening this summer. Testing is no longer required to apply for fun, hands-on classes at Sacramento State! - Basketball Tournament: Student Government is hosting a basketball tournament Jan 27-31. Teams of four will play against each other. Get your team together! Sign-ups coming soon!
- Health Unit: All 7th and 8th graders will be participating in a health unit based on the California Healthy Youth Act requirements during PE the first two weeks in January. If you would like more information about the California Healthy Youth Act please view our parent letter on our website or click here.
- Outdoor Club Field Trip: Outdoor Club is going rock climbing on Jan 25 from 6-8pm. Join your fellow students as they climb at Granite Arch Climbing Center. All are welcome to join. Please see Ms. Marinkovich or Ms Phillips if you have questions or would like to join!
- "Doodle for Google": Google's annual art competition is on it's way! Use your imagination to create a Google doodle based on what kindness means to you. Winners of the competition can can be awarded a $30,000 college scholarship, $50,000 tech package for their school and their artwork would be displayed on Google.com! Click here for info on how to apply. Deadline is March 13.
- No School: There is no school on Monday Jan 20 in honor of Martin Luther Kin Jr. Day.
