Week 25! February 18th-20th

I hope everyone had a nice long weekend!

We are looking at a short week!

Thank you so much for all of the Valentine sweets!

Sweet treats and sweet kids!

We will start reviewing material as well test taking skills for the IOWA test coming up in March. Some of our little ones are still having trouble with test taking procedures. We will continue to practice this in the classroom and I encourage you to talk to your child about being quiet and considerate of others who are still testing. Be sure your child is getting plenty of rest and that they are eating a healthy breakfast.

Unit on Time and Money

We have incorporated coins in Excel lessons, but we will start a unit on money the first week of March. I would like it if each student could bring a small ziplock bag of coins labeled with their name. This can be kept in the zipper pouch in their binder and used during the upcoming unit. The plastic money in the classroom is confusing at times and real money will be more effective. Just a few nickels, dimes, quarters, and pennies will work.
