Act 4 Scene 2
Shadya Aphram
Summary
Lord Capulet, Lady Capulet, and the nurse are preparing for Juliet's wedding on Thursday. They are looking for a cook that 'licks his own fingers.' Juliet comes in from Friar Laurence's cell after discussing the plan. Juliet talks to her father and begs for forgiveness. He forgives her and believes what she feels is true. Lord Capulet was so satisfied with how Juliet changed her response and disposition to him that he changed the date of the wedding from Thursday to Wednesday. This ruins the new plan (first for Juliet) that Juliet and Friar Laurence had created by throwing of the days on which parts of the plan are supposed to happen.

Explanation of song choice
I chose the song, Get Me To The Church On Time by Frank Sinatra because of the plot in the scene. Lord Capulet, Lady Capulet, the nurse, and the servants were all rushing to get everything ready for Juliet's wedding. The quick pace of the song is parallel to the haste of getting ready with so little time. The happy, jumpy flow of the songs can be compared to Lord and Lady Capulet's and the nurse's feelings of excitement and buzz because their only daughter will be going onto an even higher status of life.
