Meet our School-Related Employees
2016-2017
The Columbia County School District will be honoring the School-Related Employees on February 9, 2017. These employees make the school function on a day-to-day basis. We couldn't do it without them! We appreciate you for your dedication to the job and for your passion to the students and teachers at each school!
“Children need all school workers. A person is not "just" a janitor, not "just" a custodian. Janitors can see children when teachers don’t see them. And bus drivers recognize that children who are disruptive on the bus are likely to be disorderly in the classroom. They are partners in education. We need each other to make this work.” –Rev. Jesse Jackson

Staci Johnson is a paraprofessional with four years of service. Not only does Mrs. Johnson work within the Title I Parent Resource Room, she also works with students in the classroom. Mrs. Johnson makes things happen in a way that makes her trusted by administration, teachers, and her peers. Whether she is in charge of fifteen students or one hundred and fifteen, we are sure they will be well cared for. She rarely raises her voice, works according to plan- even when the plan does not work accordingly; and her witty personality make her a person in high demand. It is for all these reasons that we recognize Staci Johnson as the Columbia City Elementary School related Employee of the Year.
