Student Scheduling for 2020-2021
SCHEDULES ARE READY FOR REVIEW
Students and parents are asked to log into Skyward and review the 2020-2021 schedule posted.
The ONLY THING you need to VERIFY NOW is the SELECTION OF CLASSES:
*Do all classes for next school year appear on your schedule?
*Are the classes indicated at the proper level (grade-level, honors, AP, etc.)?
*Are the elective classes indicated STILL OF INTEREST to the student?
*Is there a class "missing?" A conflict of classes will "hide" 1 of them, but it's not really gone.
*Errors--these happen when keying in class codes. They will always be corrected.
DETAILS we WILL NOT ADDRESS at this time:
*Requesting a change of teacher--the student schedule is likely to change MANY times while counselors complete student requests and balance classes for the entire school. Therefore, the TEACHER assigned is likely to change many times at this point. Assigned teacher is NOT a priority at this early stage in scheduling. Focus on the CLASS INDICATED.
*Requesting a change of BLOCK--see above; the schedule will change MANY times while counselors work on adjustments for all students. Focus on the CLASS INDICATED
AFTER REVIEWING THE STUDENT SCHEDULE:
~~Student/parent needs to do NOTHING if:
*Classes indicated are accurate, complete and no elective changes are requested
~~Student needs to complete the SCHEDULE CHANGE REQUEST FORM by May 21st if:
*A change to a class, level or elective is requested or if there is an error indicated
###Some changes CANNOT be made. Both diploma REQUIREMENTS and graduation pathway REQUIREMENTS determine a large part of the student schedule. Prerequisite courses, grade level requirements and class maximums also impact the ability to make a schedule change.
***STUDENTS SHOULD CHECK EMAIL ACCOUNTS REGULARLY as counselors are corresponding via email with questions and updates about scheduling.***

And then...along came "BAND"...
Download the app--available for Apple and androids--and then JOIN OUR LN BANDS to stay connected to information important for your high school student...PARENTS...you are invited to JOIN OUR BANDS, too:

Indiana Commission Seeks Senior Input
***Seniors...this is an opportunity to inform state leaders of your plans, helping leaders to fund and create programming and resources to assist in your transition. Please...take 1 minute to open and complete.***
The Commission for Higher Education in Indiana is collecting post-high school plans for the Class of 2020 in an effort to provide them with information and resources to help their transition from high school to the next step.
We are asking that high school seniors visit LearnMoreIndiana.org/seniorsurvey to take a one minute survey to tell us their future plans. In return, the Commission is partnering with other state agencies, employers, community organizations and colleges throughout Indiana to collect and develop relevant resources for these students, no matter their future plans.
Please complete this survey by MAY 15th.
Final Transcript Reminder
