December Newsletter

In the Classroom

This month takes on a planetary journey as we discuss the trajectory of the earth in it's rotation around the sun. We plan to spend the next couple of weeks exploring this topic!

On December 9th, we will have a wonderful visit from David Jagdeo and his birds, both large and small. This will be a wonderful opportunity for the children to get up close and personal with some very cool creatures. We will see the different types of eggs they lay and will learn some interesting facts about them.

We will continue our daily activities as well as some fun cooking lessons since we have such a short month again!

The Giving Tree

We have selected some wonderful items from the For Small Hands and Montessori Services catalogs that we would love to add to our classroom. Please check out our giving tree on top of the cubbies to see what kind of materials your teachers are interested in. If you are interested in purchasing any of these items for the classroom, you not only benefit your child in the classroom, but you also help us earn points for even more classroom materials. It's a win all the way around!

Garden News

Our garden is off to a great start and we can’t wait to harvest radishes, rainbow chard, spinach, snap peas, and corn salad. Please sign up to help with the garden.

As the seasons change, temperatures can be brisk in the morning. Dress your child in layers so they can peel their clothes off as the day heats up. Please check your child’s extra clothes bag to ensure that they have what they need to be successful and comfortable.
