LHISD Community Message
Building Champions in Academics, Character, and Community
Greetings Panther Nation
1) COVID numbers continue to drop district-wide. Following COVID data closely in our district, we are noticing district and county numbers subsiding for the last few weeks. However, we still see pockets of cases and will continue to follow LHISD protocol. We still encourage everyone to practice safe and responsible behavior to stay healthy.
2) Visitors. We want to thank you for your patience during the first grading period, and LHISD is at the point where we can update our visitor policy and welcome visitors back into our schools. You can find a more detailed explanation of our visitor protocols on our COVID-19 website.
- Visitors/Volunteers are allowed on campus in limited numbers.
Visitors will follow our normal check-in process through Raptor.
Visitors will be limited at principal/campus discretion.
Specific campus details will come from campus administration
By coming onto campus, you acknowledge that you have self-screened and are free of COVID symptoms. No one with symptoms will be allowed into the building.
Campus and district administration may restrict or close campuses or parts of campuses for visitors if there is an increase in COVID numbers in a classroom, grade level, or campus.
Each campus will be planning events for volunteers and parents to get involved in the school, and each campus will communicate those.
Enjoy the next two days, and we will see everyone on Wednesday.
-Steven Snell, Superintendent of LHISD
