Mold Making, Aluminum Casting

Have you ever seen proud mothers displaying a pair of bronze baby shoes? You now have the opportunity to create your own personal works of art that favors some of your more favorite or interesting possessions. Mold making is an important step in the process of creating cast sculptures. It is a very significant technique and when perfected can lead to many successful pieces. While enjoying this class participants will be guided through the process of mold making and get the chance to work in several different mediums like plaster, silicone, sand and wax. You will be able to choose specific objects from your possession and create a mold, which will result in an amazing new aluminum work or art.

Held every Wednesday from February 10th through March 2nd, 4:30 - 7:30 . A aluminum casting will be held the night of February 27th.

Cost: $300, plus materials (less than $100)
