CASTING CLASSES AT LIBERTY ARTS
FEBRUARY CLASSES
Mold Making, Aluminum Casting
Have you ever seen proud mothers displaying a pair of bronze baby shoes? You now have the opportunity to create your own personal works of art that favors some of your more favorite or interesting possessions. Mold making is an important step in the process of creating cast sculptures. It is a very significant technique and when perfected can lead to many successful pieces. While enjoying this class participants will be guided through the process of mold making and get the chance to work in several different mediums like plaster, silicone, sand and wax. You will be able to choose specific objects from your possession and create a mold, which will result in an amazing new aluminum work or art.
Held every Wednesday from February 10th through March 2nd, 4:30 - 7:30 . A aluminum casting will be held the night of February 27th.
Cost: $300, plus materials (less than $100)

Valentines Pewter Casting
Valentine's Day is coming up and it is the perfect reason to create a one of a kind piece of artworks for somebody special to you or a gift for yourself. During this special casting class you will have the opportunity focus on creating wearable artwork.
Over the span of 2 weeks the small-scale pewter casting process will be explored and you will become well familiarized with the progression from raw idea to finished piece. Whether you are new to casting or well familiar with the art you will learn new skills. At the end of the course you will be left with a uniquely crafted small work of art.
Consecutive Tuesdays, February 4th and 11th, 5:00 - 7:00
Cost: $100, plus materials (less than $50)
