First of all, I hope this communication finds you all well and healthy. Now that I have your attention I would like you to join me in a very unique and special request. I would like you to take a moment with your child and tell him/her that you are proud of them- they have been working really hard. This is also a great time to set up goals for you and your child to work on together during this coming year as a team.

Thank you for trusting us with your most precious belongings- your children. Please know that everyone here at Nellie Muir does the best we can to provide the best learning environment we can possibly provide because we all believe that all our students can grow and be successful.

Dear Nellie Families, WE NEED YOUR HELP. We are in a middle of an ATTENDANCE CRISIS. Currently only 60% of our students are identified as "Regular Attenders." This means that for every 10 students, only 6 students have come to school 90% of the time. Right now we have 146 students that have missed more than 90% of what we have of school. If your student is not sick (vomit or fever), your student needs to come to school every school day on time. Every day does count. Please make school your priority. WE CANOT DO THIS WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT.

Please send your student with a WATER BOTTLE. These can be refilled using our new water fountains.

You have until Friday Dec 16th. Don't mis your chance to come to school and find any items that your child might have lost. Our Lost and Found Rack is our of control. We will start from cero again after Winter Break!

• What can you do to avoid this? Write the name of your child's name on her/his jacket tag.
  

Two weeks away from school is a long time. Creating a routine at home could be a great idea! Come up with a simple schedule for your little one to continue practicing their learning from home.
