Pumpkin Math . . .
Fourth grade students carved pumpkins to celebrate the Fall Season! Classes read the book, How Many Seeds in a Pumpkin? and then embarked on using their math and science skills with pumpkins. Students used the scientific process to formulate a hypothesis about the amount of seeds. They also, used estimation skills to guess pumpkin seeds, weight, and circumference. Finally, the students verified their predictions by actually counting, weighing, and measuring to develop a conclusion about how many seeds are in a pumpkin. After using the pumpkins to help develop our math and science skills, the students had fun carving them to celebrate the fall season!
Fall Conferences . . .
Central Bucks School District Parent - Teacher Conferences are scheduled for students in grades K through 6. These conferences offer the opportunity for parents and teachers to communicate and work together to ensure that our students will enjoy a happy and productive school experience. We look forward to information that you can supply about your child that is useful in maximizing their learning. In the same vein, we hope to supply you with information that will allow you to help your child in that same learning process. The end result of these conferences will be a better understanding on the part of both the teaching staff and the parents of each child’s strengths and weaknesses, and how we can proceed from this point.
Conference schedules noting your chosen time slots will be sent home on November 6th in the Wednesday folder. Please keep an eye out for the schedule, and we look forward to seeing you during conferences.
Wall of Honor . . .
Titus will once again create a tribute to veterans from the families of Titus students and staff. If you have a family member who served in any branch of the military, please send in a picture of them along with their name, branch of service, wars fought (if any), students’ name and relationship to veteran. We will scan them and return them to you. Thank you!
Operation Santa . . .
For many of our service men & women, this Thanksgiving and Christmas will be their first holiday away from home, family and friends. Unfortunately, some of these young men and women will not receive any mail or packages. This year we hope to send a bit of the holidays to those in the armed forces. Please help us by donating the following items between October 29th - November 12th. Boxes will be in the rotunda for you to drop off your donations . . . Thank you!
- K- 3rd grade: Hot Chocolate, Snack Bars & Fruit Snacks
- 4th - 6th grades: Playing Cards, Travel-size amenities, Frisbees, Footballs, Sporting goods, etc..
Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF . . .
Each year Titus is able to contribute around $1,200 to UNICEF’s efforts in bringing clean water, education, medication, and nutrition to children across the globe. Bring your contributions back to school during the week of November 4th. Thank you for your continued support to this worthy cause.
From the Nurse . . .

In the last Wednesday folder, notices were sent home to parents of students who have not yet submitted these mandated forms. Please have these exams completed and submit the completed forms to the health room ASAP. Students are not permitted to attend any field trips or participate in field day if the mandated forms have not been submitted.
Home & School Association:
Toys for Tabor . . .
The season of giving is almost upon us and once again Titus will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for our annual Toys for Tabor collection. The collection will run from November 1st through December 5th. The children in need range from infant through 21 years of age. There will be decorated collection boxes in the lobby for your donations. For many, these will be the only holiday gifts they receive this year. The children who benefit from your generosity are extremely grateful. Please contact Kathryn Doerr with any questions you may have. Thank you in advance for your support!
