Message From Admin

We want to take a moment to wish all of you a wonderful winter break. It can be a great time of year to reflect on the past year and make some goals for the new year! Here at CRB, we are excited to start 2019 with a bang. As mentioned earlier this week, it is with both joy and sadness that we announce the retirement of our Senior Secretary Mrs. Margaret Hensen. On behalf of all past and present staff, students and parents here at CRB, we thank Mrs. Hensen for all her hard work and dedication. We wish you well in your retirement - you deserve it!

We would like to welcome our new Senior Secretary, effective Jan. 7th, Ms. Nancy Monday. Ms. Monday comes to us from Alton Village PS and is very excited to be part of the CRB team.

Here are some events to start out the new year. Mark your calendars for these January events:

Monday, Jan. 7th: School Resumes

Monday, Jan. 7th: School Council Meeting 6:30 pm

Thursday, Jan. 31st: Dental Screening JK/SK/Gr.2

Friday, Feb. 1st: PA Day (No school for students)

A message from the CRB Celebration Crew

CRB is a learning community where we want all students and their families to feel welcome and appreciated. In order to further support one another and increase inclusivity, we would like to highlight the holidays and traditions that are important to our students throughout the year. If you have a photo of your child and/or family celebrating a special tradition or holiday event that we may include in a slideshow highlighting that celebration (Diwali, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Ramadan, Christmas, etc.) please send it to us via email (hard copies are also welcome) at The slide show will only run in the front foyer of the school for our students and staff. We look forward to bringing our school community together during the many celebrations of the year.

Let’s get started! Send us your photos.

Kidssentials Catered Hot lunches are here at our school

Kidssentials mixes, assembles and serves meals fresh, right at the school, guaranteeing the texture and quality you would get fresh from your own kitchen. They offer 4 nutritious and delicious entrée choices on each lunch date. Menus include popular food items including burgers, nuggets, pastas, wraps, vegetarian, vegan and allergen free options (free of gluten, egg, dairy, seafood, sesame, soy) as well as a great variety of healthy sides. The menu for February to June will be available to order online starting in January. Please note the important cancellation policies below.

1. Snow day/bus cancellation policy: When buses are cancelled at the school, Kidssentials lunches will also be cancelled and rescheduled for another date. This policy applies to all students, even if a child does not take the bus. We ask that parents be sure to pack a lunch if your child attends school on snow days.

2. Field trip cancellation policy: If you have ordered a Kidssentials lunch on a date your child will be away over lunch-time, we ask that you please contact Kidssentials to cancel the meal as soon as they receive the field trip form. A credit for the value of the meal will be posted to your account for future use. Please provide as much notice as possible – 2 business days’ notice or more - to help Kidssentials plan most efficiently.

3. Every day policy: Cancel a meal up until 8 a.m. sharp on ‘the morning of’ to receive a credit on your account. Cancellations made after 8 a.m. cannot be accepted.

Notification of cancellations must be made directly to Kidssentials through the ‘contact us’ link on the website.
