Snow Days
Students in HSD have now missed nine days of school due to inclement weather. Closure decisions were based on the safety of students, staff, and parents, keeping in mind that we have students who walk, bike, drive, are driven to, and take the bus to school. We will communicate for plans for making up lost school days as they are approved.

Notes and News
- Toys at School: A reminder that toys should stay at home. Items like Pokemon cards and similar card collections are considered toys and should remain at home. Thank you for your help and support with this.
- Label Student Items: A suggestion to label all items students wear/bring to school, especially sweaters, hoodies, jackets, lunchboxes, backpacks and water bottles. Our Lost and Found holds these items and if they are labeled, we can get them returned to students. The space we have is over-flowing with items left behind by students.

Please note...
In order to safely dismiss 24 classrooms and 660 students at dismissal we are asking parents to do the following:
*Students can only be picked up in the foyer or at the car parent pick up area. We ask if parents are waiting in the foyer to please be seated on the benches, this way classrooms will be able to safely get students to the bus or car parent pick up area.
*Please do not pick up your student from the bus loading area.
Please check in with the office if your student is on a bus.
*Please call the office by 2:00 to make changes to a student's dismissal routine.
*Please notify your after-care provider (YMCA, Learning Tree, etc) if there is a change.
Attendance: 9 or less is best!
Instruction begins at 8:00 am. We love seeing all of our students ready to learn in classrooms at 8:00 am.
