Novel Coronavirus Prevention
As part of the prevention steps being taken as a response to the worldwide novel coronavirus situation, our facilities staff took the time this weekend to thoroughly clean and disinfect our school building. This includes desks, chairs, light switches, door pushes, pencil sharpeners, fitness equipment, lockers, conference tables, band rooms, lavatories, faculty rooms, offices, floors, and more. I would like to thank them for their work toward ensuring that our buildings are safe, healthy and clean for our students, faculty and staff.
For more information on how our district is handling the novel coronavirus situation, please refer to the recent messages sent home to families and staff from our Superintendent of Schools, Paul Zinni.
Department Meeting Reminder
Student Council Penny Challenge
Beginning on Monday, the Student Council will be holding our annual Penny Challenge. There will be containers set up outside the main lobby with homeroom teacher’s names on them. The object is to put pennies in your homeroom/team container to earn points. Put all other coins or bills in other containers to take away their points. A penny is +1 point, but a nickel is -5 points and a dollar would be -100 points. We are competing in teams this year (see team lists)! The team with the most points at the end of the week will win ice cream treats for their homerooms. All money is being donated to Pennies for Patients for Leukemia and Lymphoma.
This event will last from March 9th to 13th. Good luck and let's raise some money for a great cause!!!
MATHCOUNTS Competition
Rounding out the KPMS team are the following students: Samrath S., Amelia R., Beck S., Ian T., Andrew D., and Logan H.
KPMS Celebrates Read Across America Day
During this year's book drive, we collected 549 books! The book drive culminated with a visit from the KPMS Student Council to the Anna Ware Jackson School in Plainville and the H. Olive Day School in Norfolk to read to the students. The student council also delivered the donated books to the Wrentham and Norfolk public libraries.

A Message from the Drama Club
It is hard to believe that we are only a few weeks away from the annual KPMS Spring Musical. This year the students and advisors have been working hard preparing for The Wizard of Oz (Young Performers' Edition). We will be having four performances of this production:
Friday, March 20th - 7:00 pm
Saturday, March 21st - 2:00 pm
Saturday, March 21st - 7:00 pm
Sunday, March 22nd - 2:00 pm
Tickets are currently on sale and have the potential of selling out quick. General Admission is $10.00 and Children (5 and under) are $5.00. Additionally, we will be offering a staff member rate ($5.00). Each staff member will be offered one ticket at this rate. To access this rate simply enter "STAFF" as your access code on the landing page of our ticketing website (link below).

KPMS Students Donate to Peace Corps Projects
Did you know that KPMS 8th grade students raised $1834 to support Peace Corps projects? French students chose to donate their money to help bring water to a school and its community in Africa. Spanish students chose to donate the money they rasied to help fund Eco stoves in a a small village in Panama. Thank you to Katie Brenneis, Howie Bean, and Mimi Narvaez for leading this fundraising effort.
