Meditation-Bringing the Stress Levels Back Down
Fun Fact: Did you know that Graduate Wellness offers FREE fitness classes for grad students? Hmm...so stress must be a common thing among grad students? It sure is! We learned about that today from Dr. Matt Helm, Director of Graduate Student Life & Wellness. Since many of us are exhausted, this hour of meditation helped to ease our stress levels (at least in that moment :) ) and boost our energy. Matt left us with some helpful tips like using four square breathing to calm our bodies down. It takes less than five minutes and can make all the difference. The MAET Program can be overwhelming and we were all thankful to take an hour out of our crazy busy schedule to clear our minds, close our eyes, focus on our breathing, and visualize a peaceful scene.
