Greetings Champions,
What a week! We finished our AASA testing, celebrated our AAA winners, and honored the Earth on Earth day. But the best part of our week was the Greatest Show on Friday night. How fitting was it, to get to be together again as a community for the kids. Their smiles and sugared up excitement said it all. Behind the greatest show is the greatest team of volunteers that make up our PTO. Led by board members: Katie Palichuk, Denise Coracides, Monica Jones, Stephanie Wesselmann, and Nikki Macias, along with volunteers such as Angie Dwiggins, Summer Campbell, Jill Connor, and Elisa Gross, this team put in endless hours of planning, preparing, and decorating in order to have everything organized and ready for the big day. So, on behalf of the Carlson staff, students and community we thank you ladies for all your hard work to make this year special for our students, and thank you for the greatest Spring Carnival. These memories will last a lifetime and for that we are grateful.
As we get ready to turn the corned on April and head into May, there are quite a few events coming up that you should be aware of. First up, we are gearing up for a drama club play, talent show, band and orchestra concerts, yearbook signing parties, and end of the year celebrations. Below you will find dates and times for these upcoming activities. For this week, we will be hosting another Champions Lunch this Friday, Birthday Book Club and it's Movie Night as well. Be sure to join us at Harkins Crossroads for the new feature flick, The Bad Guys.
Finally, above you may have noticed the link that says, "Building Carlson Champions." This is a survey to help us better serve you and your student(s). At Carlson we strive to be Champions in all we do and do be a Champion we know that takes hard work, dedication and great coaching. So, please take a minute and let us know what you like that we do and what needs a little work. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to our continued success.
Have a great week!
Most Gratefully,
Mr. Morgan

A message from PTO
Hello Carlson Families,
As we are beginning the 4th quarter PTO has some fun events planned as we finish up the school year. Attached is the 4th quarter PTO calendar of events. We have been very busy planning for our Spring Carnival and hope to see all families at this event! It is going to be a showstopper...we promise! Information to follow in a few days.
PTO would like families to know that we have been working with the district and a Gaga Ball Pit will be added to the playground for students. The cost is approximately $11,000.00 and is being purchased using the funds from our Step it Up fundraiser. Thank you all for your support and we can't wait to have this new item added for the students to enjoy.
Please note that there will be multiple openings on the PTO Board next school year and PTO is currently recruiting for those who may be interested in serving on the board next school year. If you are interested please send us an email at admin@carlsonpto.com so we can connect.
See the attached calendar of events and we look forward to ending the year strong with some great family events!
