The Spelling Bee Champions!

January's Start Students
Student Stars are selected by 4th period advisory teachers. These students demonstrate excellence in character and/or academics, and will receive a free sports/events pass, a Class of 2023 t-shirt, and will be displayed on the bulletin board by Associate Principal Jones-Hocker's office.
Janieva Coon - Janieva recently joined MLCHS and has exhibited a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn. We've had enjoyable conversations about books and writing, and I look forward to her growth in both areas.
Sarah Dodd - Sarah not only works hard, but she takes pride in her efforts!
Bradley Ruble-Bradley is not only willing to help out his class mates when they need help, but he also completes all his work in a timley fashion to assit me around the classroom. He is a star worker and helper!
Claire Rempe- Claire works very hard, she is always on top of her school work and gives it 100%.
Hailey Chattin- She is hard working and has a great sense of humor. It is rare that I do not see a smile on her face. She works well with others no matter who she is paried with and she is always willing to help others! I am very proud of you!
D.J. Beckham- DJ is always helpful to others. He was noticed helping a new student know what to do in the cafeteria. He is respectful and works diligently to complete his work with accuracy.
Daisy Pena Perez-Daisy has done a fantastic job with her reading plus the first semester and she's such a nice person who is great to be around!
Nelson Hernandez- Nelson has the highest number of Reading Plus of the entire class!
Donavin Carroll- Donavin is a very upbeat person, a team player, and his positive attitude radiates to others.
Jayden Brake- Jayden always does her best and she is a help to other students. Joy to have in class.
Isabella Higgins- Isabella is awesome! She is the epitome of a "perfect student". Her hard work, thoughtfulness, attitude and perseverance will take her far!
Alexia Torres- alexia continues to push herself in the classroom. She is a joy to have in class and is very respectful to others.
Elliott Adkins- Elliott is quick to help his classmates when they are struggling and he is always
friendly to his peers and teachers.
After-School Academic Support
If your child needs additional academic support, we provide tutoring on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3:30-5:00 p.m.
