October 15, 2023
Hello Conroe Tiger Families,
Our 2nd Nine-Weeks is off to a great start! Report cards for the 1st Nine Weeks are posted in Parent Access. If you do not have a Parent Access Account, your student was given a copy of their report card. With Parent Access Center, you are able to check all grades, view progress, report cards, view attendance, tardies, and lunch money balance.
If needed, please encourage your child to take advantage of tutorial opportunities that are available. Here are a few updates and reminders:

All students new to Conroe High School will receive their initial ID and do not need to bring their ID from their previous campus. Student Safety - Our number one priority is to keep our students safe at Conroe High School. Please parents, remind your children they are not allowed to leave campus for lunch. If your child walks to school, please remind them to use the cross- walk at a light. If your child is a car rider, please drop them off and pick them up in the car rider line, not HWY 105 or area businesses.
Attendance Matters - Our Attendance Rate for last week was 94%. It is important that your child is in class each day unless they are ill. In the event your child does miss school, please be sure to email our attendance office. Also, please remind your child to get with their teacher about any work they missed.

Class of 2024 - This is just a reminder that the FAFSA does not open on October 1. It will open in December 2023. If you complete the current FAFSA application, it will be for the wrong year and you will have to fill it out again in December. We don't want that to happen.
Remember, we will have a Financial Aid Information meeting on October 28, 9:00-10:00am in the auditorium. We will go over all forms of financial aid and talk about the changes being made to the new FAFSA opening in December.
Spirit Nights - Please help our Conroe High School Clubs and Organizations by attending a CHS Spirit Fundraiser at a local restaurant. This Monday we have, MARCO’S MONDAY! Join us at Marco’s Pizza, MONDAY, October 16th, for a flavorful fundraiser. Mention Conroe Tiger Band when ordering or online enter tiger at checkout and click APPLY! Marco’s will donate 25% of proceeds to the band. On Thursday, PTO will be Raising Funds with Raising Canes
Vape Detectors - Be advised, campus restrooms are equipped with vape detectors. Students caught in possession of a vape device or under the influence may face severe disciplinary consequences, which may include, ISS/OSS, DAEP and/or expulsion to JJAEP pending an investigation. Please discuss the danger and consequences of vaping with your child.
(*Liquid THC is considered a felony controlled substance . Students caught with a vape device that tests positive for THC could receive a state felony charge, be arrested on campus, and face mandatory expulsion.)

CHS9 Car Riders:
If you bring your student to school by vehicle, then please remember that the traffic loop in front of the Ninth Grade Campus contains two lanes. Vehicles can utilize the inside lane (left lane) to help alleviate traffic. When our duty personnel see students getting out of the vehicle from the left lane, we will stop traffic in the right lane allowing your student to cross safely. We appreciate your attention to safety and patience every day.
