Bensalem High School Library
news & new books | April 2017
Open for business!
We are thrilled to announce that the library is officially open once again! While we were closed for about a month, we did provide services as best we could to teachers and students, including loaning out the Chromebooks and "flipping the classroom" for several English classes.
Over the past month, we have unpacked almost 12,000 books from boxes, weeded and genrefied these, and made them available for checkout. Students and teachers have been excited to have access to the entire collection again!
New books!
WEEDING
We have spent many days weeding the collection as part of moving into the new library. What is weeding? Click here for information.
GENRE-FYING
As we have been unpacking the fiction collection, we have been classifying books into genres and sub-genres. We are almost finished with this process, where all books are arranged and labeled by color, as listed below. So far the students really enjoy this new layout!
