PARENTS: SCHOLARSHIP NOTIFICATION LIST
New scholarships are added weekly to the below Senior Scholarship Opportunities Page and announced through these Scholarship Updates.
Seniors will receive email updates through their school Gmail. Anyone else will need sign up to be on the Scholarship Notification List.
**This initial message is going out to all Senior Parents as a courtesy. However, if you want to continue receiving these emails about scholarships, you MUST sign up to be on the notification list!
MAKE A HABIT OF CHECKING YOUR SCHOOL EMAIL!
Many important announcements will come via email to your school gmail account. Make a habit of checking it daily or at least weekly! Scholarships will come out from announcements like this weekly or bi-weekly and will include time sensitive information and deadlines! You don't want to miss out on something because you didn't know.
JUNIORS: Information on taking the PSAT
The PSAT/NMSQT will be offered to interested juniors on Wednesday, Oct. 13th, in the loft. This is a timed test that will start at 8:25 and go until approx. 12:00. This is excellent practice for the ACT and SAT and is also the entrance exam for the National Merit Scholarship program. If you would like more information, contact Heidi Clairmont in the counseling department. We only have 30 exams and they will go on a first come, first serve basis! The cost is $20 (cash or checks payable to ISD 318)
Pay and sign up in the Counseling office.
ACT Information for JUNIORS
The ACT will be offered at GRHS on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.
This test is offered to juniors or seniors who did not test with their class this October. We will not be offering the writing portion; many colleges/universities do not require it but check with any you are considering attending. If you need the writing portion, sign up through act.org.
The cost is $48 and will be able to be paid through check or cash or online prior to taking the test; it is waived for students who have completed the Free/reduced lunch application and were approved for the current school year. Watch for sign ups in February.
Other opportunities to take the ACT are available at act.org
Talk to your counselor if you have additional questions.
