I AM COLLEGE BOUND

Big picture

The goal of the “I Am College Bound” campaign is to provide New Hampshire high school students with the inspiration, information and planning support to pursue higher education goals. In support of I Applied, colleges and universities around the state waive application fees for students who submit applications during the event. The incentive both increases college access and drives applications for NH schools. In addition, the New Hampshire Department of Education, New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, and the NHHEAF Network also provide scholarships to participating students, with each school receiving one $500 scholarship to award to a participating student. Students are also provided extensive follow up support and materials to complete their college journey. On November 18, 24 WLC seniors applied to New Hampshire Colleges for free! Saving $3,530.00 in application fees! Nathan Lachance was the lucky recipient of the $500 scholarship!

6th Grade:

  • This student never fails to come to school with a smile on her face. She is ambitious, silly, and always willing to lend a helping hand. She is an emerging leader, and truly cares about her education and her peers. The Dream Team is so thrilled to announce that Sydney Beam is the November student of the month.

  • This sixth grader is friendly, respectful and is always willing to help his peers and teachers. He comes to class prepared and ready to work. He loves to play chess and is the driving force behind the creation of the middle school chess club!! The Dream Team is proud to announce that Sean Bickerton is the November student of the month.

7th Grade:

  • This student is respectful to all her classmates and teachers. This student goes above and beyond when learning new material. She is always prepared in class, participating and completing her tasks on time. She is an avid reader, captain of the robotics team and a member of the National Junior Honor Society. Team Awesome would like to congratulate Eila O’Toole as the November’s Student of the Month.

  • This student is respectful and always nice to others. She never has a bad word to say and always stays positive about everything. She is a hard worker and helps others when they need it. She is also a member of the NJHS. Reading and writing are some of the things she likes to do, especially if it involves Harry Potter! Team Awesome would like to congratulate Izzy Mason as the November Student of the Month.

8th Grade:

  • This 8th grader is very bright and kind hearted. She always puts her best effort into her sports and academics. She is also a newly inducted member of the National Junior Honor Society. As her teachers, we appreciate her dedication to her school work. She is always a student that completes her work thoroughly and never distracts others. She is certainly a role model to many other students. That is why Team Awesome is proud to announce Alivia Jacques is this November’s Student of the Month.

The Dream Team is proud to announce this 8th grade student as November Student of the month. As a new addition to the WLC 8th grade class, she has brought a positive energy to the classroom and a hard working attitude. Not only is she a very talented artist, but she is also kind and genuine to those around her. We are so excited and proud to have Bree Linehan represent the Dream Team as our 8th grade November Student of the Month!
