The First Day of School!

Hello Parents and Students. As you know, the first day of online learning begins at 8:20 on Wednesday, August 12. You will need to log into the Allen ISD Portal ( and log into Skyward ( to see your class schedule. If your student needs to reset their password, please access the Allen ISD Student Password Reset. Finally, you will also be able to log into Canvas ( so that you can meet your teachers using our videoconferencing tools. You will be required to follow the Ereckson MS Bell Schedule each and every day for school. First period will begin promptly at 8:20 AM. All students should be in their First Period Canvas course by 8:15 and enter their First Period videoconferencing session (Zoom) at 8:20. It's a good idea to print out the bell schedule or write it down on a piece of paper. We are so excited to see you on Wednesday!

Back to School Forms

Back to School forms are now available and MUST be completed before you are allowed to view your student's course schedule. Log into Skyward ( using your parent email and password. If you forgot your password, there are links on the Skyward login page to reset your password. Please be sure to complete your Back to School forms as soon as possible. If you have any questions please contact the school office.

Student Course Schedules

Students will be able to view their course schedule in Skyward once all Back to School forms are completed. Paper schedules will NOT be provided. You MUST complete all Back to School forms in Skyward before you will be able to view you course schedule!

Students Using Zoom for Learning

When teachers synchronously meet with their students, they will use Zoom as their videoconferencing tool. We believe that face-to-face instruction is an important part of the on-line learning experience. Below is a link to a document that outlines student expectations for using Zoom. Zoom Expectations


In light of increased safety and social distancing standards, Student Nutrition will offer curbside meal service providing meal bundles two times per week for Allen ISD students (K-12) at five school locations. Meals (2 Breakfasts and 2 Lunches) will be offered on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 and on Friday, August 14, 2020 for the first week of At Home Learning at the Tuesday Meal Bundle Prices below. Curbside meals will be offered on Tuesdays (2 Breakfasts and 2 Lunches) and Thursdays (3 Breakfasts and 3 Lunches) after the first week. Meals must be purchased as a complete bundle, and cannot be purchased separately.

All meal bundles will be priced according to the student’s eligibility. Parents and/or students may pick up the meal bundle by providing their student’s ID number. To help ensure a smooth purchasing process, please ensure that there is adequate funding to your child’s PayPams account or purchase meal bundles using cash or check by placing in an envelope with your child’s name and ID and depositing at the curbside meal station at one of the five locations listed below. Students are encouraged to pick up meal bundles at the closest location to their regularly assigned school; however, any Allen ISD student can receive meals at any of the five locations (1 bundle per student per day). Meal Bundle Prices are for All Students (K-12). If students are eligible for Free Lunch, both the Tuesday meal bundle (4 meals) and the Thursday meal bundle (6 meals ) are free. If students are eligible for Reduced Lunch, the Tuesday meal bundle (4 meals) is $1.40 and the Thursday meal bundle (6 meals ) is $2.10. If students are paying regular price for the meals, the Tuesday meal bundle (4 meals) is $7.70 and the Thursday meal bundle (6 meals ) is $11.55.

There are five Allen ISD school locations for curbside meal pick-up:

  • Ereckson Middle School, 450 Tatum Dr., Allen, TX 75013

The COVID-19 Prevention, Mitigation, and Response Procedures outline the current procedures our campuses will have in place to prevent or mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and how to respond if a positive case is identified.

The Academic Information for Families webpage provides instructional information and resources related to In-Person and At-Home learning models, digital learning tools, and academic supports. All students will begin the first day of school on August 12 participating in At-Home Learning. This specific content will be helpful as you and your student prepare for the start of school:

  • Weekly Learning Plans - an overview of the learning objectives, activities, and due dates

  • Instructional Roles and Expectations – a list of learning and teaching expectations for students, parents, and teachers

  • Digital Learning Tools – resources to help students learn how to access and use:

    • Google Classroom and Seesaw (for elementary students)

    • Canvas (for secondary students)

    • Google Meet and Zoom (video conferencing platforms for virtual learning interactions)

  • Student Attendance – process for recording attendance through daily engagement measures while participating in At-Home Learning
