From the Principal
Hello, Midland Mustang Families,
At Midland, we have been very fortunate to have Mrs. Wendy Bulman as our Assistant Principal for the past 3 years. Mrs. Bulman has brought passion and commitment to our Midland students and staff. She has led teams, supported teachers, and worked with students in a variety of ways. Mrs. Bulman has been a wonderful partner in our work together.
It is bittersweet to announce that Mrs. Bulman has decided to pursue her continued passion for leadership in the next step of her career and will be leaving Midland at the end of this school year.
I hope you will join me in thanking Mrs. Bulman and celebrating her hard work at Midland. Due to the continued restrictions, it is impossible to have a school-wide appreciation party. However, you can email her at wbulman@fpschools.org, send her a card at our address (2300 105th St. E., Tacoma, Wa. 98445) or you can come by the school to drop off an appreciation card or gift.
We wish you all the best in your next journey, Mrs. Bulman! Midland is forever changed for the better because of your leadership!
~Mrs. Dawson
Fifth Grade Celebration!
You are invited to come to Midland between 2:00-6:00 on June 8th. Please drive into the bus zone to celebrate "social distance style!" We will have a PHOTO BOOTH where families can take a picture of their student holding their promotion certificate. We will also have refreshments "to go!" Fifth grade teachers want to celebrate the end of your elementary school years, so please be sure to come!
Oh, and don't forget your laptop, library books, and Wonders/Math Expressions curriculum!
CALLING ALL LIBRARY BOOKS AND TEXT BOOKS....
On June 8th from 2:00-6:30, we are asking you to do a quick drive into the Midland parking lot to do these things. We will follow social distancing, so you won't even need to leave your car!
1) Return student library and curriculum (Wonders and Math Expressions) books which were taken home when school closed. (Remember that your child can keep the laptop over the summer for extended learning and practice.)
2) Pick up your child's items from their desk and cubbies. Teachers will have this prepared in a bag for you.
3) Pick up any medications that were at school.
If you cannot make the June 8th date and time, please let your teacher know so we can make other arrangements to get your items.
School Medication Pick up
Monday, June 8th will be the day to pick up any medication that is still left at Midland. All medications will be ready for pick up from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm on that day.
If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.
Take care and stay healthy!
