What's Happening in PBS?
Week of 5/11 - 5/15
Welcome to another week of PBS! We are getting closer and closer to finding out Anna's cause of death..... :)
This week we start weird schedules due to EOC testing. So we start on Monday going over the two major categories of bacteria, gram negative and gram positive. Then we talk about how to determine this. On Tuesday, the kids will do an actual gram stain.
On Wednesday and Thursday, we get into block schedule. We will be finally identifying the bacteria that was ailing Anna, updating her medical history document, covering the basics of the immune system and finally adding to the evidence board.
On Friday, we are back to regular schedule and the kids will be doing a couple career journals and we will be reviewing the bacterial information. The kids will have a quiz over the bacterial unit on Monday.
We do have a few HOSA things going on this week...
- Monday - MANDATORY Dental Discovery Meeting during collab in my room
- Monday - Guest speaker in Mr. Lee's Room (Pharmacy Med Student) in collaboration
- Friday - Guest Speaker in Mr. Lee's Room (Neurologist) in collaboration
**Some Dental Discovery students will be staying after school throughout the week to prep for their event next week at Thomas Ultican Elementary**
Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck to all the kids on their Government EOC this week!
Thanks,
Mrs. Weiss
