Lakeview Elementary - We Know Every Child by Name & by Need
March 22, 2018
Hello Lakeview Families!
Please read below for important information and dates for the upcoming weeks.
Lakeview "Town Hall" Safety Meeting 3/27
I am going to host a school safety meeting at Lakeview Elementary on March 27 at 5:30 p.m. Please consider this an invitation to join me that evening. If you have a specific question about school safety, simply email me at mseltzer@nisdtx.org. I will do my best to add it to our agenda for that evening. Above all, please know that we will continue to make safety our number one priority at Lakeview Elementary.”
Spring Time Can = Lice
- Blow drying hair on high heat is also beneficial. Lice cannot tolerate high heat.
- Sharing isn’t always caring. Lice is spread by head-to-head contact with someone who has lice and that’s easily done with school kids who love to share. Teach your children to keep their hats and hair accessories to themselves, especially when a case of lice has been confirmed.
- Tie hair up in ponytails or braids. If you know lice are active at the school, tie your kid’s hair up in a ponytail or braid for school. If you want to add some extra protection from lice, place some strands of dried rosemary into your child’s ponytail
If you have any questions, please contact your student's teacher or Mrs. Weaver.

PTA Remind 101 Account
We wanted to let you know about a new way to help you stay connected to the latest Lakeview PTA news. We’ve set-up a Remind 101 account just for the PTA. If you aren’t familiar, Remind 101 allows you to sign up to receive texts from a specific group. We love the idea that we can quickly get information out to our parents. To join, you can text @tclakeview to 81010 OR click this link: https://www.remind.com/join/tclakeview
