First full week of school at a glance

Monday and Tuesday - Blue on Campus (Gold and Full DL at Home)

We're back in school, in our uniforms, and relearning how to be HT students.

There were a few glitches, and several Mass attire uniforms or ties forgotten on Tuesday, Zoom calls got dropped and some didn't convert, but overall, our Hybrid and DL systems are starting to take shape. And getting zapped as you arrive at school is starting to feel... normal?

Thank you Celtics for your cooperation and good cheer!

Early morning check-in with Coach Shelton, Coach Boone, and Coach Warnes at the gym before 8am, and Mrs. Enriquez at the front after 8am.

Temperature check and a squirt of hand-sanitizer welcome each student.

First row: Liberty M. (C' of 24), Isabella G. (C' of 24), and Nadia S. (C' of 22)

Second row: Jose A. (C' of 21), Andres T. (C' of 21), Nikelis E. (C' of 22)

Last row: sisters Brianna (C' of 23) and Samantha S. (C' of 21); Trent L. (C' of 22); Victor M. (C' of 21)

Nathanial E. (C' of 21) does morning announcements while mom (aka Mrs. Enriquez) follows along.
Kids in the hall - pandemic style - walking to class while social distancing.

Caeleigh S. (C' of 21); Kate B (C'of 24), Leyla R. (C' of 24) & Tony C. (C' of 22).

Seniors Rachel H., Carisa T., Shelby F. and new senior Karis W. help greet new students; Isabel V.(C' of 22) has an open period at the front desk, and new Senior Macy D. gets into the HT routine during her open period.

Father Francisco from Our Lady of Guadalupe parish came to HT to celebrate our blue day mass.

Thank you to all who assisted: senior Nathaniel E. and freshman Joseph J. (altar servers); senior Caeleigh S. (music and readings); sophomore Tatum H. and Brianna S. (gifts); Mrs. Rockwood: music; Ms. Snyder and the senior class: Set up and take down.

thank you father francisco!

Wednesday-Thursday Gold on Campus (Blue and Full DL at home)

On Wednesday our Gold group returned to campus. Even though they'd been 'in school' since Monday via DL, it was their first day looking sharp (in Mass attire no less) and entering the routine of the normal school year. Well done Gold students, and thanks for all the feedback about problems logging on when you were in DL. Now the Blue group students are in your shoes (or do you wear shoes at home?... I won't tell if you don't tell), logging in and out and turning in assignments digitally. Good luck to all. Meanwhile, the permanent DL students are saying "We got this!" and are creating their own DL subculture. It's all about the silver linings.
Same routine for our Gold group: temperature checks and hand sanitizer.

Fr. John Guzaldo from St. Luke's Parish returned to celebrate our Gold Day mass

Big picture
Thank you to: Andrew L. (C' of 22) for the music; Cate B. (C' of 21) for reading; Altar servers brothers Ben (C' of 21) and Zach B. (C' of 24), and Joshua B. (C' of 24).

Thank you Father John!

our first adoration since March - how beautiful!

Friday was blue day again! And the Blue students were able to participate in our first Adoration since Spring break! Thank you Ms. Snyder for so thoughtfully leading us through such a special moment - and again setting up our gym to be so beautifully filled with Jesus' presence. And thank you Nathaniel (C' of 21) for carrying Jesus into and out of the gym with such solemnity and reverence.

NB: Friday groups will alternate each week with the occasional special day: next Friday is Seniors on campus and lower grades doing DL.

Each grade will get an "all grade at school" day. Everyone will get their turn.

Greetings from the Holy Trinity Librarian, Mrs. Ciupek!

A few notes for this fall semester:

Librarian Hours: Thursdays & Fridays: 100 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Self-Check-Out Log: All students, faculty and staff must fill out this form when checking out items. You’ll find the clipboard on the front desk. If I’m in the Library, I will provide “auto-scan” services.

Due Dates: Two weeks from check-out for everyone. Renewals are practically unlimited unless a hold has been requested. Everyone receives 3 automated reminders that the “Due Date is approaching.” When items are overdue, everyone receives 3 automated reminders, up to two weeks. The policy is that semester grades will be held until overdue items are returned or replaced if lost or damaged.

• In-Library Policy: In keeping with school policies during this crisis, I am limiting capacity to 5 students in the Library at any one time, with appropriate spacing of students. As each group leaves the Library, I will disinfect all surfaces.

On-Campus (part-week) Students: My hope is that students will discover the “Power of Books”—the kind that you hold in your hands and flip pages! Please drop by and browse!

All-Distance Students (non-campus): Those students who are learning virtually all year (not those who attend on campus) may select books or other items via the website:

The next step is to contact the Librarian via email (scroll to the bottom of the Catalogue/Library Page). Give me the titles/author and the Bar Code:

*Bar Code (320.973 BUR)

I will gather those items for distance students only. They may pick up items on Thursdays and Fridays while I am in the Library, or on other days at their convenience from the front office. Please note that I can only gather books for you on Thursdays and Fridays, so please be patient!

That’s it for now! If you have questions or comments, please feel free to email me or drop by!

Many blessings,

Kira Ciupek, Librarian
