How to Survive After Testing
Yes, testing time is over, and there is a great feeling of relief, but the year is far from really being over. In fact, this may just be the toughest part of the year. If you are not prepared, these last few weeks of school can be brutal.
Here are a few important tips that are sure to help you survive until the last day of school.

All items are due back on May 10th. Please allow time to collect books, Playaways, and DVDs and have students return books during homeroom. Thanks!

Tips for teaching ELA to ESL students. English Language Learners deal with some of the greatest challenges. Can you imagine how completely overwhelming it must be to walk into a room full of active children, full of noise, talking, and words everywhere - in a language that you don’t understand? As if acclimating to the environment is not enough, students that speak English as a second language are also expected to learn the same standards as their grade level peers.

Because we have such a short month for checking out in May, I am extending the top reading homeroom for April until May 10th, which is the day all books are due. The top classroom will earn an hour of tech fun.

We are pleased to have members from each grade level and boys on the team for the first time. The team will compete on May 17th at the main branch of the Nashville Public Library.
