and 5th grade chorus)
- The chorus will be singing carols at Libbie Hill Park in Churchill for the community!
December 14th: Richmond P.A.L. Concert at 2pm (At the Greek Orthodox
Church on Malvern Ave., again, only 4th and 5th grade chorus)
- The chorus will be singing some songs for the winter season as part of the Richmond Police Athletic League concert!
Looking forward to a wonderful month!
Library Media
This month, students in the Library Media Center will be participating in the Hour of Code. This is an opportunity for students to learn more about computer programming as well as critical thinking, problem solving, logic, persistence, and creativity. The 2nd-5th graders will be working on code.org, while Kindergartners and 1st graders may have other options such as Kodable or screen-free programming games. We will, of course, continue to explore the library: learning about different genres, authors and sections. Thank you for helping your students love reading and taking care of their books.
Remember, books make great presents!
Happy Reading!
Computer Lab
In December, Students in Kindergarten will continue to work on their computer skills using the website ABCya. 1st – 5th graders will continue to improve their reading and math skills using I-ready and Reflex websites. Please have them practice signing in using their codes at home. Have a wonderful winter break!!!
Art
Greetings to the Chimborazo Family from the art studio,
Here’s hoping that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. It’s always such a blessing to be with family and friends and embrace the love from all. It was nice to see so many come out for our Thanksgiving dinner and thoroughly enjoy themselves.
Our students have worked vigorously on the ceiling tiles and are now getting art works ready for upcoming exhibitions. We are also creating art that expresses the joy of the holiday festivities for the upcoming Christmas program. May all be blessed for the upcoming holiday celebration.
