After missing out on many beloved traditions, our spring Book Fair will be a familiar, welcome, and safe event for our students. Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place on Feb. 24th 1:30 - 8:00pm and Mar. 1st 4:30 - 8:00pm right inside the main doors at Lawson Elementary.

Our Book Fair offers eWallet, a safe and secure alternative to cash. Simply create a free account to add funds and/or invite family and friends to contribute so your child can select their own books. Any unused funds can be spent at The Scholastic Store Online or to fund a future eWallet.

If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Online Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.

*Please place your student's order in a sealed envelope with payment (eWallets availabe).

*Be sure your student's name, teacher's name and BOOK FAIR is written on the outside of the envelope.

here is an opportunity coming up for families to participate in a free virtual event called “Family Tech Talk,” where parents will learn best practices to help their kids use the Internet — from social media to online gaming — in safe and healthy ways. The program is sponsored by Trend Micro, an Internet safety expert. Thousands of schools have participated.

The Summit PTO has already registered for the free event so parents can participate on Wednesday, Feb. 16, and are inviting other schools to participate that same day, using the same link. It will be a Zoom presentation, followed by a Q&A.

I'm excited to offer this opportunity to our parents so we can learn and review best practices to help students use the Internet.
