October 2017

A Great First Month!

It's been a great start to the school year! Our students have demonstrated an investment in school that has us all excited. Early release has provided an opportunity for our staff to learn with and from each other. We want to thank you for a great Back to School Night Barbecue turnout and we look forward to connecting and partnering with our parents again during parent conferences at the end of this month.

Here is some information and some highlights from September.

Mountain View students attended 96.1% of all classes in September. Attending school is crucial if we want our students to be successful and prepared for high school. Missing just one class in a week equated to missing 20% of instruction and puts students at risk of falling behind. Please help support your student being in attendance every day.

Kindness Month

September was kindness month at Mountain View. Students were encouraged to display and spread kindness throughout our community. We saw multiple examples of kindness from our students throughout the month. We also selected our student of the month recognitions through the lens of kindness. The theme for October is Embracing Community.
