Picture Day Details - SAOA

School pictures will be taken on Wednesday, January 13. Note that individual pictures will be taken but no class pictures. In-Person photos will be during the school day. SAOA students will be as follows:

Miss Ciccotosto (5) 4:00

Ms. Tashlein (4) 4:20

Mrs. Mazin (3) 4:40

Mrs. Long (2) 5:00

Mrs. Longstreet (1) 5:20

Mrs. Davis (K) 5:40

In-Person Students

Students attending school in-person will be escorted to their photography session with their classroom teacher and classmates. Students will wait in line with their classmates to be photographed. As always, students must keep masks on and maintain physical distancing while in line. Students can remove their mask once they are positioned for their photograph. Once their photograph is taken students will put their mask back on to rejoin their classmates.

SAOA Students

Students attending the SAOA will report to Vernfield at their scheduled picture time (listed below). Students will report to the gymnasium entrance where they will be greeted by Dr. Graf and/or a Home and School volunteer. Please note that the “gymnasium entrance” is the same location as where parents dropped-off/picked-up students when they were in Kindergarten. Parents are permitted to walk their child to the gymnasium entrance, but they will not be permitted into the school.

Students and parents must wear a mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing. Students will be permitted to remove their mask once they are positioned for their photograph. Students will put their masks back on once their photograph is taken. Once the student’s picture is taken, they will return to their parent waiting at the gymnasium entrance.

Order a picture package prior to picture day by visiting Enter Picture Day ID: EVT32JWMT. Online is preferred, but a printable form can be found in the Vernfield email sent on January 7.

January Vernfield Family Dinner Night

We are excited to announce our next Vernfield Family Dinner Night!

On Wednesday, January 13th Jesse’s Barbecue will be hosting our next Family Day! That’s right, Jesse’s will be counting orders towards this fundraiser for BOTH LUNCH AND DINNER!

All you need to do to participate in this fundraiser is mention you’re a Vernfield Family when ordering, and Jesse’s will donate 10% back to Vernfield Home and School Association!

Visit to view their menu.

Please note - Jesse’s does not take orders over the phone for regular menu items, all orders must be placed at the register. They are a quick-service restaurant so after ordering, food will be ready to go within just a few minutes. Logistically they are not set up for call-ahead, with the exception of bulk items.

You will find a “Bulk Foods” section of the menu, this section of the menu are the only items that can be ordered ahead of time (by end of day Saturday), to be picked up and paid for on Wednesday. Again, make sure you mention this is for Vernfield fundraiser.

Jesse’s is following all health protocols, so customers and employees must wear masks, social distance, and they have a limited capacity allowed inside.
