TCS to Host Parent Visitation Day Events
An earlier email incorrectly stated middle school Parent Visitation Day. The correction is below. We regret the error.
Each year, the Alabama Department of Education designates October is Parent Visitation Month. The theme this year is "Home and School Partnerships: Empowering Students to Learn". The Tuscaloosa City Schools celebrate Parent Visitation Day to encourage parents to visit schools to support their children and build those vital relationships with teachers. It is a critical factor in determining the success of our students.
Each year TCS schools plan exciting and educational events and activities to engage our parents and show them what our schools are offering students. Some of our activities this fall include an art showcase, Hispanic Heritage Showcase, hands-on visual arts activities, STEM activities, music demonstrations and more.
The event will take place over three days this year. Parent Visitation Day for elementary schools will October 17. October 23 will feature our middle schools. High Schools will welcome parents in on October 24.
Parent Visitation Days have been established on three different days this year based on parent feedback so that parents may attend events for their children at different grade levels.
