Fall 2020 Climate Survey Results
During the month of October, we completed the Riverview Elementary School Fall 2020 Climate Survey for those students in grades 1-5 attending school in the hybrid model. This survey allowed us to identify student perceptions of the climate and culture within our school. It also allowed us to better understand how your child felt about returning to school. Some of the questions asked in this survey were:
- How did it feel being away from school?
- How do you feel about returning to school?
- Do you feel like you have friends at school?
- Do you feel like students are kind to one another?
Below are just a few highlights that outline the climate of our school:
- 85.8% of Hybrid-model students indicated missing school ‘a lot’ or ‘sometimes’ during distance learning in the Spring
- 97.8% of Hybrid-model students enjoy being back at school
- 98.2% of Hybrid-model students report feeling safe at school
- 97.7% of Hybrid-model students indicated that they have friends at school
